Launch & formation in Sassandra – Côte d’Ivoire
On 16 June 2026, the eHealth4ChildTB project was officially launched in Sassandra, Côte d’Ivoire, marking the third district to begin implementation of the project in the country, after Agboville and Abengourou.
The launch ceremony was held in the presence of the Regional Director of Health of Sassandra, the Deputy Director-Coordinator of the National Tuberculosis Control Programme, administrative authorities from the Sassandra region, as well as local teams and partners involved in the implementation of the project.
This new milestone marks an important step in the operational rollout of eHealth4ChildTB in Côte d’Ivoire. The project aims to strengthen the diagnosis and management of tuberculosis in children through an integrated approach combining training, digital tools and operational support for frontline healthcare teams.
As in the previous districts, a training session for healthcare teams was organised immediately after the official launch. This training aimed to support the professionals involved in the implementation of the project and to strengthen the use of the tools and approaches deployed as part of eHealth4ChildTB.
The event was also covered by the Agence Ivoirienne de Presse, which published an article on the launch and the innovative digital tool being piloted in Sassandra to support the fight against childhood tuberculosis.
