FORMATIVE PHASE has started in Mozambique

📍 A new step for eHealth4ChildTB in Mozambique:
The formative phase is now underway In the districts of Manjacaze, Bilene, and Xai-Xai, located in Gaza Province.

As the project moves forward, this pre-intervention phase plays a key role in preparing for implementation.
It helps document the local context, better understand existing practices around childhood tuberculosis, and identify the needs and expectations of healthcare workers and communities before the rollout of treatment decision algorithms and digital tools.

Over the past few days, the team has been conducting field visits within the health facilities, and exchanges with district and provincial health authorities, healthcare workers, and health facility teams (including here in Manjacaze and Chibonzane).

These visits provide an opportunity to assess current knowledge and practices in childhood TB care, explore readiness for digital tools, and gather valuable insights to help tailor the next stages of the project.
